Giuseppina Cuccaro is currently Opera e Lirica srls’ Chief Executive Officer. Born in Bologna in 1985, she graduated in Piano at the G. B. Martini Conservatory of Music in 2011, with grade 110/110, with a thesis on the “Melodic inspiration and popular style in Franz Schubert and Ferenc Liszt“.
In 2013 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Literature and Musicology from the University of Bologna with grade 110/110. Her thesis focused on the “Life of Stefano Golinelli, with a historical and musicological analysis of the Op. 53 and Op. 140 Sonatas” and her advisors were Prof. Piero Rattalino and Prof. Mauro Giani.
In order to enrich her musicological studies, Giuseppina spent half a year in California (US) deepening her thesis’s research at the Musicology Department of Stanford University.
Giuseppina completed her musical studies under the guidance of Prof. Valentina Berman at the Music Academy of Florence (Florence, IT) and, before that, under the guidance of Prof. Piernarciso Masi at the Corelli Music Academy (Ravenna, IT). She also attended several Piano Masterclasses with Emilia Fadini, Alicija Kledzik, Sophia Gulyak and Olaf Johan Laneri.
Among her musicological publications there are “Two Bramhs’s Sonatas for Cello and Piano” for the Ermitage Editions (Bologna, IT) and the essay “Achille de Lauzieres e Salvatore Marchesi. Due traduttori e qualche esempio di traduzione” in the book “Sonata a tre. Verdi, Wagner e Bologna” for the LIM Edition.
Since January 2017 she has been attending a Master in Business Administration at Bologna Business School. Passionate about tourism and music, she loves spending her time in her house in Sorrento, surrounded by her family and her beloved nephew Valentino.
Barbara Amitrano is Manager of Sorrento Events by Opera e Lirica srls.
Born in Vico Equense (Naples) in 1987, she studied at the Foreign Languages High School “Sant’Anna” in Sorrento, focusing in particular on English and French. Passionate about music and ballet, she also studied dance for many years at the Ballet Academy of Sorrento.
When she was 19 years old, she decided to move to Naples, where she graduated in Sociology at Federico II University in 2011. Thanks to her studies in Naples, she discovered her passion for criminology and she was admitted to the best Italian School of Criminology, situated in Bologna. In 2013 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminology for Investigation and Security from the Alma Mater Studiorum University.
She worked for San Lazzaro di Savena Police, for a special project about road safety in co-operation with the local Health Unit.
During her period in Bologna she lived with Giuseppina Cuccaro. The two young girls shared their house and their days, but also their passions and dreams.
They met up again years later, when Giuseppina returned from California. Searching for a Manager for Sorrento Events and remembering Barbara’s passion about music and her dedication to work, Giuseppina decided to involve her in the Opera e Lirica Company.
Barbara lives in Nerano, a little town on the Amalfi Coast, and she loves spending her time with her family, in their beautiful house in front of the sea.
Sara Barberi is Graphic Designer and Corporate Communication Manager for Opera e Lirica srls.
She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Communication at University "La Sapienza" of Rome and graduated in Visual Communication - Graphic Design at "Anja Accademy" of Rome. After graduating, she started to work for large companies where she acquired experience in the communication and marketing field, with a strong interactive and graphic design background, mainly through the development of graphic projects, digital marketing coordination strategies, communication and training, organizing events in Italy and abroad. She loves music, indeed she has studied violin and piano, graduating in solfege at Licinio Refice Conservatory.
Silvia Cicciomessere is Opera e Lirica srls' Translator and Multilingual Communication Advisor. Born in Bari in 1987, she studied classical guitar at the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory in Bari during her youth. She joined the Puglia Guitar Orchestra and also performed guitar duets accompanying poetry reading. Music performances would remain one of her great passions. She was admitted to the School for Interpreters and Translators at the University of Trieste, where she graduated in 2009. During the course of her academic studies, she was awarded three University Exchange Program Scholarships to travel and study abroad, spending a semester in Spain, one in Scotland and one in Brazil. She obtained her Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting at the School for Interpreters and Translators of the University of Bologna in 2012. At the same time, she successfully completed the CELTA course of the University of Cambridge for English Language Teachers. In November 2012, she launched her sole trading business 'Speakando', and in 2013 she joined AITI, the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters. Since then, she has been working as a translator, interpreter, multilingual SEO copywriter and language teacher. She has collaborated on projects for Amazon.it, Leonardo Finmeccanica, Lions Club International, the Embassy of Ghana to the Holy See and Easy Embassy srl, among others. She loves traveling and regularly spends time abroad, plunging into new cultures and exploring different music traditions around the world.
