We’re bringing the atmosphere of a Sorrento summer to Varese. On 9 October 2026, Palazzo Estense will welcome The Three Tenors for an evening dedicated to Italian Opera and Neapolitan Song.

Palazzo Estense: A Night of Opera in the Heart of Varese

There are places where music seems to have always belonged.

Palazzo Estense, in the heart of Varese, is one of them. An elegant 18th-century residence of Francesco III d’Este, Duke of Modena, the palace was transformed from 1766 onwards by architect Giuseppe Antonio Bianchi into a refined residence for official occasions, surrounded by the beautiful Giardini Estensi.

But Palazzo Estense was not only a place to admire. In its rooms, the Duke hosted receptions, parties, balls and concerts. The Salone d’Onore even featured two small boxes designed to improve the diffusion of sound, while on the main floor there is still what was once the Ballroom or Music Room, where private concerts were held.

It is difficult to imagine a more natural setting for the return of music.

The Three Tenors at Palazzo Estense

On 9 October 2026, Palazzo Estense will welcome The Three Tenors for an evening dedicated to Italian Opera and the great tradition of Neapolitan Song. Three voices, one piano and some of the melodies that have made Italy famous around the world: from arias by Verdi and Puccini to timeless songs such as ’O Sole Mio and Torna a Surriento.

For one evening, the atmosphere of Italian musical nights comes to Varese. And in a palace where music was already heard more than two centuries ago, the concert becomes something more than a performance: a small journey through the musical soul of Italy.
