2023 New Concerts by Opera e Lirica, New Year’s Resolutions Come True with Music

Over the past year, when theatres and concert halls reopened, we made plenty of resolutions, and in 2023 the much-awaited events are taking place in Rome and Sorrento with great new concerts! The rich programme for the new year is starting in Rome in January 2023 with weekly events from Tuesday to Saturday, while the Opera Season in Sorrento is resuming after Easter as usual, with events every Tuesday and Saturday from April 15, 2023.

Special Events in the 2023 Concert Season in Rome

We are glad to present the rich 2023 opera and concert programme in Rome. In addition to the usual dates of our much acclaimed shows, we are going to present our all-new Opera Concert, on stage every Friday at 8:30 PM at the Caravita Church. We selected for you the most exciting moments of each classic work of Italian and international Romanticism, from Rigoletto to Tosca, from Madame Butterfly to The Nutcracker, to throw you into a whirlwind of notes and bel canto at a pace that never slows down and keeps you in suspense until the end.

For the first time on stage, there is also going to be the 2023 Carnival Concert in Rome, with a single date on February 20th. A special event where opera blends with ballet on festive tunes from operas like The Barber of Seville or the Tarantella by Rossini. A joyful, both classical and alternative way to celebrate an irreverent day that is rooted in a hedonistic tradition. Among the music programme from Mozart to Hendel, from Verdi to Bellini, we have a special surprise for you. In the second part of the concert, the first violin Elvin Dhimitri will perform a piece that he composed, titled Il carnevale di Venezia (Venice Carnival), a classical baroque composition with variations, inspired by the tradition of the XVII and XVIII centuries and infused with the spirit of Carnival, a much-cherished topic by composers in the Baroque period.
