The soprano Vanessa Fioretti tells us about her new collaboration with Opera e Lirica to present The Great Italian Opera with Ballet to the international audience.

The new collaboration with Opera e Lirica features you as the protagonist of the most beautiful Italian opera arias. What makes this show so special?

This show is rich in wonderful sounds, lights and costumes. It is a timeless journey for both the audience and the artists. It is a comprehensive show in which opera singing combines with the notes of the orchestra, and music combines with dance. All this makes it really special.

A selection of the most significant moments of famous operas means continuous suspense for the audience. While you are on stage, what are the moments that make you feel the highest intensity of emotion?

I feel deep emotions when I see the audience engaged. When I see their careful and happy gaze, I tune in to them, and I start a journey through life, tragedy, love, sorrow, and happiness with them.

How was the show greeted by the audience during the first dates of the season?

With great enthusiasm. The warm applause and smiles received by the audience confirmed the success of each soirée.

Why would you recommend this show to newcomers as a first approach to opera?

It is a timeless moment, a chest of wonderful arias that make the audience feel deep emotions. It is able to enchant even those who are not familiar with opera.

What feelings are conveyed by the acoustics and the environment of the XVII-century Caravita Church?

This place is special. It is so beautiful that it seems like it is embracing its guests. Its history and acoustics never fail to amaze those who come here.

ITALIANO
